Future Stars Shine: UAA Finals and One-Six Tournament Light Up Wintrust Sports Complex! August 28, 2024

Earlier this summer, the Wintrust Sports Complex was proud to host the prestigious Under Armour Association (UAA) Finals. This massive, championship event served as the pinnacle of a yearlong league-style circuit, bringing together the nation’s top high school boys’ basketball teams at the 17U and 16U levels. Two teams were ultimately crowned UAA Champions: Team Thrill (17U) and KC Run GMC (16U).

A Warrior’s Wish Fulfilled Through Frogman Event August 27, 2024

Proceeds from the 2024 Frogman 3D Bowhunters Challenge and 5K were used to support Hope for the Warrior’s- Warrior’s Wish program, granting life-changing wishes to wounded veterans like Army veteran Nicholas B., who was granted his wish for an Xtool P2 55W Desktop CO2 Laser Cutter. Due to his service-connected disabilities, Nicholas is unable to work and turned to woodworking as an outlet. This Laser Cutter allows him to provide for his family, continue his passion, and contribute to his community.

2024 Teenage CrossFit Games and Prodigies Competitions August 26, 2024

The 2024 Teenage CrossFit Games® are coming to Kalamazoo! This championship competition crowns the Fittest Teens on Earth®. One hundred twenty world-class athletes ages 14-17 will compete Aug. 29-Sept. 1, at Wings Event Center (with one day at The Pit Fitness Ranch about a half-hour south in Three Rivers). Another 150 athletes ages 14-22 will compete Wednesday, Aug. 28. This world-class competition for the teenagers commenced in 2015 and, in 2024, was awarded to Brock Yost of Triple River CrossFit and his team in Three Rivers to organize.
