Global Teens Gather in Kalamazoo for the 2024 Teenage CrossFit Games August 5, 2024

The 2024 Teenage CrossFit Games are set to take place in Kalamazoo, bringing together 270 athletes from 29 countries for a week-long competition. This international event will showcase the talents and skills of teenage CrossFit athletes worldwide. The Teenage CrossFit Games will take place August 28 – September 1 and will be Kalamazoo’s first international sporting event.

Authority Breaks Ground on Regional Sports Center in Williamsburg August 5, 2024

WILLIAMSBURG — The Historic Triangle Recreational Facilities Authority (HTRFA) hosted a ceremony for the groundbreaking of the regional indoor sports center on Friday, Aug. 2.

The City of Williamsburg, James City County and York County have partnered to build
and operate the 200,000-square-foot regional sports center through the Historic Triangle Recreational Facilities Authority on approximately 62.9 acres adjacent to the Colonial Williamsburg Visitor Center in the City of Williamsburg.

Prospect Wire’s Labor Day Classic West Returns to Peoria August 2, 2024

After a year away in 2023, Prospect Wire will return to Peoria, AZ and the Peoria Sports Complex for Labor Day Weekend. The event, a 4 game guarantee, will take place at the gorgeous spring training facility of the Seattle Mariners and San Diego Padres. Action will take place Saturday & Sunday, with pool play games. Playoffs for advancing teams will be held on Monday.

IIHF Mens Under 18 World Championship Returns to Frisco in 2025 August 1, 2024

USA Hockey announced, that in conjunction with the NHL’s Dallas Stars, it will host the 2025 IIHF Under-18 Men’s World Championship in Frisco and Allen, Texas, from April 23-May 3, 2025. The 10-nation tournament, which features the best men’s players in the world under the age of 18, began in 1999 and will be played on U.S. soil for just the fourth time.
