The smell of burning rubber filled Evergreen Speedway, the only NASCAR venue in Washington state, when Monster Truck Mayhem took to the track on Saturday, Aug. 23. The event was one of several Grandstand entertainment options for eventgoers as they enjoyed another year of the Evergreen State Fair, held annually at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe for 11 days, the final day ending on Labor Day.

On Saturday, Aug. 23, the Snohomish County Sports Commission attended the 2025 Fairfest 3on3 basketball tournament at Galaxy Theatres in Monroe, one of several summer events put on by STARS Unlimited. Everyone from children to adults persevered through the hot and humid temperatures, and afterwards, received tickets to cool down for a movie or visit the Evergreen State Fair less than a mile away.
