Snohomish United competed against Ballard FC for the first time in the 2026 USL League Two season on June 10 at Veterans Memorial Stadium, and the 2-0 victory couldn’t have felt better for the local franchise. Not only did Aaron Leon net both goals and his team tally a shutout in front of their home crowd, but it was also solid payback for what occurred in the second round of the 2025 USL League Two playoffs.

For the past few years, the Snohomish County Sports Commission has partnered with STARS Unlimited, a local nonprofit organization, to host youth and adult sports tournaments across the Puget Sound. From the summer 3on3 basketball contests in Lake Stevens and Monroe to now the first annual golf tournament, it’s been an amazing journey witnessing the turnout of these events, and we’re excited for what’s to come in the following months and years.
