On Saturday, Oct. 11, the Snohomish County Sports Commission attended the 2025 Hole in the Wall XC Invitational at Lakewood High School.

In its 42nd year, the cross country meet brought in more than 3,800 runners from across Washington state, even welcoming competitors from Idaho, Oregon, Montana, California, Alaska and British Columbia, Canada.

The 5K course for junior varsity and varsity was a two-loop course with a mix of 80% grass, 8% track, 12% gravel road and two wood bridges. The middle school race, which was run on Friday, featured a 1.7-mile loop course.
