Destination teams have access to more data, content and technology than ever before, but making all of it work together is still a challenge. Events, hotels, visitor activity, leads and community content each tell a different piece of the story.

The next evolution of Compass is built to connect those pieces. With deeper insights across the entire Destination portfolio, more content flowing into Playeasy, and new ways to understand and activate it, this release brings us one step closer to a truly connected Destination experience.

Here’s what’s new.

Compass Just Got a Whole Lot Smarter

Until now, Compass could help Destinations understand the conversations visitors were having with their AI Tour Guide.

Now, Compass can look across the bigger picture.

Destination teams can ask Compass questions about their Playeasy portfolio and get answers grounded in their actual Events, hotels, leads, traffic and visitor activity.

Want to know which hotels are generating the most interest? What your current pipeline is worth? Which Events are coming up? What visitors are looking for that your existing content may not cover?

Just ask.

Compass can help answer questions across:

  • Hotels: Understand which properties are generating interest and bookings and how visitors are engaging with your hotel inventory.
  • Leads: Dig into your pipeline, including estimated economic impact, room nights, organizations and Events.
  • Events: See what’s coming up, which organizations are behind those Events and the facilities hosting them.
  • Visitor Demand: Understand the themes behind real visitor questions and identify potential gaps in your existing content.
  • Traffic & Reach: See where your audience is coming from and where your Playeasy content is reaching visitors across the web.
  • Performance: Take a broader look at your Playeasy presence, uncover trends and better understand what may be driving your results.

And Compass doesn’t just hand you another report.

It helps explain what the data means.

Ask Compass how your Destination performed last quarter, and it can help connect the dots between the numbers and the Events, hotels, leads and visitor activity behind them.

A New Way to Explore Playeasy

We’ve also upgraded the Playeasy experience itself, making it easier for visitors and industry partners to find and explore the content across the platform.

Search is now built directly into the main navigation and can surface Events, facilities and Destinations together. When you’re exploring a Destination, search becomes more locally relevant to help visitors discover what’s nearby.

Maps have been upgraded across Playeasy, marketplace cards have been refreshed, navigation is simpler, and the mobile browsing experience has been redesigned.

You’ll also start seeing more helpful information directly within Destination and Event experiences—including seven-day weather forecasts to make planning even easier.

Elements Got an Upgrade, Too

The new Playeasy experience doesn’t stop at Playeasy.com.

Our Website Elements bring Playeasy content directly onto Destination, Event and partner websites—and those experiences have now been upgraded with our latest marketplaces, maps and card designs.

For current Elements customers, there’s nothing you need to do. The updates happen automatically wherever your Elements are already installed.

We’ve also strengthened the analytics behind Elements, giving Destination teams an even clearer picture of where their content is reaching visitors.

More Content In. More Value Out.

The power of Compass ultimately starts with great content.

The more Compass knows about what’s happening across your Destination, the more useful it can be for both your team and your visitors.

That’s why we’re continuing to expand the ways Destination content can connect with Playeasy.

With new support for Tempest and Yodel, Playeasy can bring more Events, blogs and partner content into the platform and keep that information aligned as it changes at the source.

For Destination teams, that means less manual content management and a more complete picture of what’s happening throughout the community.

For Compass, it means even more context to work with.

A full Event calendar doesn’t just give visitors more to discover—it means Compass can understand what’s happening next weekend, next month or throughout an upcoming trip and help visitors make the most of their experience.

Deeper Insight Into Hotel Performance

We’re also giving Destination teams a clearer look at hotel activity generated through Playeasy.

Updated hotel reporting can now distinguish between bookings connected to a specific Event and bookings happening outside of an Event.

That means teams can better understand the role their Events program plays in hotel performance while also seeing the broader leisure and visitor activity happening through Playeasy.

And because these insights are connected to Compass, understanding hotel performance can start with a question—not a spreadsheet.

More Context for Event Performance

We’ve also made it easier for Destination teams to add context to Event results with PEstimate.

As attendance information becomes available, teams can see how recorded results compare with their original projections, with a simple breakdown of the difference.

It’s a helpful way to bring projections and post-Event results together in one place and better understand how an Event performed against expectations.

One Connected Destination Experience

These updates may touch different parts of Playeasy, but they’re all moving toward the same goal.

Your Events, hotels, businesses, content, visitor activity and performance shouldn’t live in separate silos.

They should work together.

With more Destination content flowing automatically into Playeasy, better ways for visitors to discover it across Playeasy and the web, and Compass helping teams understand the activity behind it all, we’re continuing to build a more connected way for Destinations to understand and grow their visitor economy.

And we’re just getting started.
