Sports tourism continues to make a major impact locally. In 2024 alone, the Ouachita Sportsplex generated $3.84 million in economic impact, thanks to regional tournaments and travel teams competing throughout the year. With eight tournament-ready fields, turfed infields, batting cages, and spectator-friendly amenities, the Sportsplex continues to attract teams from across the region.
Facilities across the area continue to grow to meet demand. The Forsythe Tennis Complex recently expanded to 16 courts, doubling its capacity for tournaments and championship play. New player locker rooms, additional restrooms, and an elevated viewing deck make the venue an ideal setting for large tennis events.
Indoor sports also have a premier home in the region. West Monroe Sports & Events features 70,000 square feet of uninterrupted space, allowing event organizers to host multiple courts and competitions simultaneously. The facility’s accessible design and flexible layout make it ideal for basketball, volleyball, wheelchair sports, and more.
