Boston, MA — October 28, 2025 — Playeasy, the leading digital network in sports tourism, today announced a major company evolution, introducing two dedicated business lines — Playeasy Network and Playeasy Experiences — both powered by the company’s shared technology foundation, the Playeasy Platform.
Over the past eight years, Playeasy has grown from a startup into the largest digital community in sports tourism — connecting destinations, event organizers, venues, and visitors through one connected platform. As the company’s network has expanded, so has its technology. What began as a platform for sports tourism connections has evolved into a powerful infrastructure that now supports every type of visitor and event experience across destination marketing organizations (DMOs).

Two Business Lines, One Unified Mission
To deliver on both missions with the focus they deserve, Playeasy will now operate through two complementary business lines:
- Playeasy Network — where destinations connect with event organizers to grow the global sports tourism ecosystem.
- Playeasy Experiences — where destinations engage visitors at every touchpoint through immersive digital experiences — spanning events, in-market activations, and leisure travel.
Together, these divisions enable Playeasy to serve its partners with greater clarity, depth, and focus — while remaining united under one company, one platform, and one shared purpose: helping destinations and sports commissions thrive.
For current partners of Playeasy, nothing will be changing in how you use the platform and products that you have today. These products will simply just be getting better, and there will be more products that will continue rolling out moving forward.
Focused Leadership for What’s Next
As part of this evolution, Kerri Shields has been promoted to CEO of the Playeasy Network.
Kerri has been with Playeasy since day one — a co-founder, community builder, and driving force behind its mission. In her new role, she will lead the Playeasy Network alongside Co-Founder and Head of Event Organizer Solutions, Ryan Quigley, focusing on expanding into new event types, reaching more organizers, and growing the platform internationally.

On the Playeasy Experiences side, Sean Flaherty will remain Chairman and CEO of Playeasy Inc. and will be functionally focused on leading the Playeasy Experiences business line, helping destinations engage visitors, activate their communities, and drive measurable results through technology.
Co-Founder and CTO, Jon Gorin, will continue to lead the Playeasy Platform — the shared technology foundation that powers both the Network and Experiences divisions. Gorin has architected and built the Platform from the ground up, and under his leadership, Playeasy will continue to advance the infrastructure that connects its entire ecosystem.
