Montgomery County continues to be a premier destination to host sports tournaments and the Valley Forge Sports team of the Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board is proving just that.

The team is thrilled to be hosting 12 events this month, with a total of seven different sports and five events new to the area. June will see more than 15,000+ room nights sold and an estimated $18 million in economic impact.

The YMCA National Gymnastics Championship & Invitational, happening Jun. 20-24, will be the largest indoor event ever held in Montgomery County, with over 2,500 gymnasts traveling to the area from all over the U.S. This new-to-the-area event is estimated to bring in more than 8,000 room nights.

“The 2024 YMCA National Gymnastics Championships & Invitational is not just an event; it’s a culmination of hard work, dedication, and the spirit of community,” said Mubarak “Mo” Simmons, Gymnastics Director at Willow Grove YMCA. “This championship will spotlight the incredible talents of young gymnasts from across the nation.
