Delaware County, PA– The holiday season is in full swing, and in the spirit of giving back, the award-winning Energy Transfer Veterans Memorial Rink, now in its third season in Edgemont, Newtown Square, is presenting a $50,000 check in support of the Delaware County Veterans Memorial Association, this Thursday December 14th at 6pm. The check presentation is part of the annual Tree Lighting Event that is open to the public.
Since its inception, Flight on Ice has been dedicated to supporting local Delaware County veterans, and this year is no exception. In fact, they’re upping their game!
Flight on Ice has joined forces with Tired Hands Brewing Company, who has added a winter beer park where guests can enjoy a selection of great food and refreshments, which will help support their fundraising efforts.
“We are committed to carrying out the DCVMA’s mission of educating and inspiring our youth on the liberties made affordable to us by those who served this great
country,” said Jon Schaffer, president of Flight Entertainment.
“This is what Delco does best,“ said Steve Byrne, Executive Director of Visit Delco. “Coming together to help make the communities in which we live a better place. We’re incredibly proud of our community partners who continually recognize the importance of giving back.”
