The one-mile course will start in downtown Indy, travel past some of the city’s monuments and landmarks, and finish at the Soldiers & Sailors Monument on Monument Circle. The course is flat, fast and record eligible.
The overall event records are 4:04 for men and 4:33 for women. Masters division records are 4:25 and 5:27, respectively. Masters men will kick off the USATF waves at 10:30 a.m. ET, followed by the Masters women at 10:40 a.m. ET.
Championship awards and cash prizes will be presented to the top overall male and female finishers as well as in each 5-year age division. Awards and cash prizes will also go to the top teams and athletes with the highest age grade scores.
Athletes can earn Elite Performance Medals, available only at USATF Masters National Championships, for achieving ‘national class’ age grade scores of 80% and above.
